First report of the direct supporting of palladium–arginine complex on boehmite nanoparticles and application in the synthesis of 5‐substituted tetrazoles

Abstract: Boehmite nanoparticles are aluminium oxide hydroxide (γ-AlOOH) particles, which were prepared using a simple and inexpensive procedure in water at room temperature and further modified using arginine. Subsequently palladium particles were immobilized on their surface to prepare Pd-Arg@boehmite. This novel nanostructured compound was fully characterized using thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction, inductively coupled plasma optical emission (ICP-OES) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopies, and scann… Show more

“…A plausible mechanism is shown in Scheme 7. [31,67] Initially, interaction of nitrogen atom of nitrile with Cu forms intermediate A, which accelerates the cyclization step. In fact, Boehmite@SiO 2 @Tris-Cu(I) act as a Lewis acid, which activates the nitrile groups via coordination.…”

“…Boehmite nanoparticles have high specific surface area including high density of hydroxyl groups on its surface, while it is inert in various chemical conditions . More addition, boehmite nanoparticles can be prepared in water using commercial available materials such as aluminum nitrate and sodium hydroxide, therefore boehmite is very inexpensive and easy available . These unique properties of boehmite led that it can be used as ideal support for heterogenization of homogeneous catalysts .…”

[34][35][36] These unique properties of boehmite led that it can be used as ideal support for heterogenization of homogeneous catalysts. [37][38][39] Several methods have been reported for the preparation of boehmite nanoparticles and the effect of different condition on its morphologies, chemical and physical properties has been studied.…”
