First Report of Coexistence of Three Different MDR Plasmids, and That of Occurrence of IMP-Encoding Plasmid in Leclercia adecarboxylata

Abstract: Three different MDR plasmids p16005813A, p16005813B, and p16005813C, which carried a total of 18 non-redundant resistance genes or gene loci, were identified in a single clinical isolate of Leclercia adecarboxylata. The p16005813A backbone showed very low levels of identity to all DNA sequences available in public databases and carried a repA gene that could not assigned into any of known incompatibility groups. The IncFII-family p16005813B and pECAZ161_KPC had essentially identical backbones. p16005813C belon… Show more

“…Fifthly, a K-antigen gene cluster was present only in pL21-1NR. Sixthly, a 13.5-kb backbone region matching IncFII plasmid pKp_Goe_414-4 34 was found in pBJ20-tetA, p71221-mphA, and pW08291-tetA; a 8.3-kb one and a 25.7-kb one, a 7.4-kb one, and a 43.6-kb one matching IncFII plasmids p1220-CTXM 35 and pKPN1705-2 (CP022825), p16005813A, 36 and IncI plasmid p628-CTXM 37 in pW08291-tetA and pA2508-emrE, pL21-1NR, and pSC138, respectively.…”

“…The genetic structure of the bla IMP– 8 gene in ZDHYF418 and the sequences most similar to ZDHYF418 by BLAST are shown in Figure 1 . The genetic structure around bla IMP– 8 in C. thiooxydans ZDHYF418 has a percent identity of 99.96 and 99.94% to the p447-IMP in K. pneumoniae (accession number: KY978631 ) ( Zhan et al, 2018 ) and p16005813B in Leclercia adecarboxylata , respectively (accession number: MK036884 ) ( Yin et al, 2019 ). The genetic structure of bla IMP– 8 gene in C. thiooxydans ZDHYF418 includes DDE-type integrase/transposase/recombinase–tniB–tniQ-recombinase family protein-aac(6′)-Ib-cr-bla IMP– 8 -intI1 .…”
