Abstract:We report the first record for the diet of the Cauca Coralsnake Micrurus multiscutatus, preying on a caecilian of the genus Caecilia in the pacific lowlands of Colombia. In addition, we describe a new hunting maneuver used by the coralsnake to subdue the caecilian.
