Abstract:This Letter investigates the transition to synchronization of oscillator ensembles encoded by simplicial complexes in which pairwise and higher-order coupling weights adapt with time through the Hebbian learning mechanism. These concurrently evolving disparate adaptive coupling weights lead to a novel phenomenon in that the in-phase synchronization is completely obliterated; instead, the anti-phase synchronization is originated. Besides this, the onsets of anti-phase synchronization and desynchronization are m… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
