First‐line haploidentical stem cell transplantation in children and adolescents with severe aplastic anemia using mobilized peripheral blood as source of CD34+: Single‐institutional experience in a transplant center from northeast Mexico

Abstract: Severe aplastic anemia is a life-threatening disease. Since 1976, stem cell transplants (SCTs) have been established as the best curative option in patients who are younger than 40 years old, 1 particularly in children and adolescents for whom this is a firstline treatment.
