Abstract:Background:The thrust plate prosthesis (TPP) is an alternative to a stemmed total hip prosthesis. This stemless femoral implant designed for total hip arthroplasty (THA) was developed to simulate the physiological loading of the metaphysis of the proximal femur and can be used in young patients.
