“…In the Maimará locality, the fossil record of the Yacoraite Formation is made up of gastropods, ostracods, fish remains, vertebrate tracks, invertebrate trace fossils, microbialites (Díaz-Martínez et al 2016;Cónsole-Gonella et al 2017), and palynomorphs (Moroni, 1984). The studied stratigraphic section records a lagoon palaeoenvironment with tidal influence associated with supratidal bodies of ephemeral ponds, described by Cónsole-Gonella et al (2017).…”

“…This kind of tracks, called informally as large ornithopod tracks, has been previously related with large iguanodontian trackmakers (see Díaz-Martínez et al, 2015b). In the Latermost Cretaceous, the unique large representatives of the Iguanodontia clade are the hadrosaurids (see Díaz-Martínez et al, 2016), so we propose these last dinosaurs as the trackmakers of PC-1-A and B. The third track, PC-1-C, is poorlypreserved, thus we consider it as an indeterminate vertebrate track.…”

“…Few track sites with ornithopod tracks of Cenomanian age are cited from Brazil and Argentina (Calvo, 1991;Carvalho, 2001). In addition, large ornithopod tracks have been cited in the uppermost Cretaceous of Argentina and Peru (Alonso, 1980;Alonso and Marquillas, 1986;Jaillard et al, 1993;Díaz-Martínez et al, 2016). All the putative trackmakers of these tracks are related with large-sized iguanodontian ornithopods (see Díaz-Martinez et al, 2015.…”
