Exposure of animals to ionizing irradiation may be a important pathway for transfer of radionuclides to human food chain, thereby adding to the exposure burden. Therefore, radiation control of animal feeds and animal products will reduce risk for radioactive hazards to human health. The study was carried out in order to detect the natural radioactivity in edible parts of pigs, excrements and feeds in one commercial pig breeding farm in Macedonia. Ra were measured using gamma spectrometry. Gamma spectrometer Canberra Packard with a high-purity germanium detector and Marinelli beakers (1 l capacity) were used for the samples measurement. The most prominent gamma energies observed in the spectra belonged to the naturally occurring radionuclides Th were detectible only in feed samples (0.53±0.293 Bq/kg; 163.69±23.791 Bq/kg, respectively) and samples from excrements (0.25±0.021 Bq/kg; 58.17±1.062 Bq/kg, respectively). The other radionuclides were detected only in few samples and the measured activities were below the detection limit. If we take in consideration the activity concentration of the most frequently occurred 40 K found in all samples, than there was statistical significant difference between radioactivity concentration in organs, muscle, excrements and feeds (p<0.001).

The STRATEGY project (Sustainable Restoration and Long-Term Management of Contaminated Rural, Urban and Industrial Ecosystems) aimed to provide a holistic decision framework for the selection of optimal restoration strategies for the long-term sustainable were identified. The importance of stakeholder consultation at a local level and of ensuring that any response is site and scenario specific were emphasised. A value matrix approach was suggested as a method of addressing social and ethical issues within the decision-making process, and was designed to be compatible with both the countermeasure compendia and the decision support system. The applicability and usefulness of STRATEGY outputs for food production systems in the medium to long term is assessed.

The ability of firm's market knowledge in relationships with employee engagement and customer engagement becomes crucial in a marketing strategy. However, the role of marketing function to achieve competitive advantage is still a question of improving business performance. Empirically, there is a need to explore marketing and operational capabilities by involving the supply chain in marketing strategies. Through the views of Dynamic Capability (DC) and service logic, we combine it in a conceptual model that produces several hypotheses. A total of 250 MSME (Micro Small and Medium Enterprises) are involved to answer the questionnaire. Respondents' perceptions reveal that the supply chain has essentially opened itself into an engagement for mutual value creation and sustainability. Our findings also reveal that supply chain engagement can improve business performance and positively mediate employee engagement, but it is unable to mediate customer engagement. In contrast, supply chain engagement is insignificant when market knowledge, customer engagement and employee engagement are directly linked to business performance. In addition, our findings also resulted in an insight for management in optimizing the firm's ability to perform its marketing functions
