Finla Technical Report DE-FG02-03ER63576

Abstract: The magnetic resonance microscopy (MRM) work at Montana State University has extended the imaging of a single biofilm in a 1 mm capillary reactor to correlate T 2 magnetic relaxation maps displaying biofilm structure with the corresponding velocity patterns in three dimensions in a Staphylococcus epidermidis biofilm fouled square capillary. A square duct geometry is chosen to provide correlation with existing experiments and simulations, as research bioreactors tend to be of square or rectangular cross section… Show more

“…Figure 3 shows how the parameter variance changes the output power. It should be noted that the numerical result is based on Taipei 101, where the mass of the building is 9.36×10 7 kg, the natural frequency of the building is 0.146 Hz and the mass ratio is 0.78% [38]. This conclusion suggests that, in the process of designing a regenerative TMD, the TMD parameters only need to be optimized for better vibration mitigation performance.…”
