Finite‐time non‐smooth stabilization of cascade output‐constrained switched systems

Abstract: Finite‐time non‐smooth stabilization of cascade output‐constrained switched systems via state feedback is investigated. The cascade switched systems consist of subsystems in general form with zero dynamics and mixed powers taken into account. To deal with the finite‐time stabilization problem of such kind of switched systems, some mild assumptions, input‐to‐state stability property of zero dynamics, an appropriate growth rate assumption on nonlinear terms and some well‐known conditions for small signals, have … Show more

“…As a kind of typical hybrid systems, switched systems are very favorable because they can describe a large number of actual complex processes and provide relatively simple nonlinear control construction methods. Also, switched systems, described as a set of interconnected subsystems that are activated and deactivated by control signals from external sources 1 , have become a research hotspot in the field of automatic control 2,3,4,5,6,7 . Due to the important role in switched systems, switching rules have attracted the attention of many scholars 8,9,10,11 .…”

“…The history of hybrid systems began in the 1950s and attracted attention in the 1990s to implement the development of digital microcontrollers and embedded devices. Switched systems [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] are a special class of hybrid systems that might contain continuous-time or discrete-time subsystems and a switching law orchestrating switching between these subsystems and can be viewed as higher-level abstractions of hybrid systems.…”
