Abstract:Two finite-time consensus protocols are proposed for multi-dimensional multi-agent systems, using direction-preserving and component-wise signum controls respectively. Filippov solutions and non-smooth analysis techniques are adopted to handle discontinuities. Sufficient and necessary conditions are provided to guarantee finite-time convergence and boundedness of the solutions. It turns out that the number of agents which have continuous control law plays an essential role for finite-time convergence. In addit… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
