Finite Element Analysis and Optimization on the Numerical Control Lathe Bed

Abstract: Lathe bed is one of the important parts of machine tool, and its performance will affect the final machining accuracy of the machine tool directly. A numerical control lathe produced by a machine tool plant was taken as the research object, the finite element analysis and optimization method of the Lathe bed were studied. First of all, the external load of the bed was analyzed, static performance finite element analysis of the bed was implemented, and the corresponding analysis results were obtained. Then, the… Show more

“…The static and dynamic behavior of the lathe bed is embodied in the static performance and low-order modal characteristics [3]. The finite element method, which is suitable for structural performance analysis, can be used to process the results of the entire model in a load step [4,5], and can be also used to handle the results of the model specific point in all load steps [6]. Therefore, according to the finite element theory and based on the large-scale analysis software workbench, in this paper, the static performance analysis and modal analysis are done for the high speed horizontal machining center.…”
