Biometric technology, founded on recognizing distinctive individual features, enhances identification and automation, yielding personal and institutional benefits. This literature review employs the Kitchenham and Charters methodology to analyze recent perspectives on biometric technology in educational time and attendance. The analysis identifies benefits, such as preventing impersonation and enhancing data security, but emphasizes concerns about biometric alterations and hardware/software failures hindering optimal outcomes. A noteworthy trend is adopting a bimodal behavioral approach in biometric technologies in education. The study recommends research avenues focusing on privacy safeguards, biometric system robustness, and technological resilience. Beyond mere identification, a shift towards quantitative and descriptive methods is proposed, guiding future research. The results underscore the importance of a multimodal approach and stringent security measures to address biometric system vulnerabilities. Future exploration should consider integrating emerging technologies to enhance system resilience and data protection, providing a comprehensive guide for refining and expanding biometric technology applications in education.

In achieving academic success, students need to understand the academic requirements, policies, extracurricular activities, internship or career opportunities, and procedures that apply at the college. Effective and regular information helps academics gather the necessary information and maximize their experience in higher education. This not only enriches the community experience but also builds social, academic, and professional ties. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to determine the effectiveness of UNM Public Relations in disseminating information to the academic community. So that this goal can be achieved, researchers use data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. There were nine informants in this study. The data analysis technique in this research consists of four activity flows, namely: data collection, data presentation, data condensation, and drawing conclusions. The results of research using five indicators show that UNM Public Relations is declared effective in providing information because the academic community has confidence in the competence of UNM Public Relations and the veracity of the information published. However, there are deficiencies in indicators of consistency and sustainability of UNM Public Relations in providing information. The content of the information presented does not fully meet the needs of the academic community. Therefore, UNM Public Relations needs to increase the use of various channels in disseminating information. This research highlights the use of new communication methods that have not yet been used by UNM Public Relations. For example, the use of social media, digital platforms, or other communication tools that can expand the reach of information. This research provides data regarding the extent to which the information conveyed by UNM Public Relations reaches the academic community. This can provide deeper insight into how effective PR efforts are in disseminating information. This research can identify inhibiting and encouraging factors. Based on the findings of this research, recommendations were produced for improving and developing UNM Public Relations

This study aims to describe and analyze the factors in the implementation of TPP granting policies so that TPP granting in Wajo District does not improve the performance of civil servants. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological study. Data collection was carried out by interviews and literature studies. Data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis and interpretation techniques. The results of the study showed that the factors caused the TPP grant in Wajo District did not improve the performance of civil servants, namely the lack of alignment between the performance targets of civil servants and the performance targets of their superiors and local government; the lack of objectivity in evaluating the performance of civil servants by superiors; the complexity of inputting performance through the e-Kinerja application; Civil servants are more oriented towards fulfilling working hours and tend to ignore performance achievements; Civil servants are not satisfied with the amount of TPP; and the monitoring and evaluation function of the TPP awarding policy has not been optimal. This study suggests that local governments carry out performance management in a more planned and structured manner.
