Fine-scale structuring of surface picophytoplankton communities in the ultra-oligotrophic Southeastern Mediterranean Sea

Abstract: The spatial distribution of phytoplankton is characterized by distinct fine-scale (1-100km) patchiness associated with mesoscale and sub-mesoscale ocean dynamics.
