Fine-grain concrete from mining waste for monolithic construction

The article presents the results of researched moisture indicators and strength characteristics of foam concrete with the various additives using. Foam concrete is produced both in a factory and on a construction site, has a density of 200 kg/m3 and is used in the innovative building structures type lightweight steel concrete structures (LSCS). Diatomite, microsilica, granite, perlite and vermiculite were used in sample production. As a part of the research, tests were carried out under the P-20 pressure to determine the ultimate limit load that the samples withstood. Then they were placed in a drying oven to determine the moisture mass removed from the samples during drying to a completely dry state, after which the moisture content values were set. The dependence between the moisture index and the strength characteristics of foam concrete is shown. It is established that samples of foam concrete with the perlite addition are the most durable. In addition, it is shown that the foam concrete with the vermiculite addition has the lowest moisture. It was determined that only for samples with the vermiculite addition, the correction coefficient depending on the moisture index differs in its value from the coefficients for the other samples, and, therefore, it had the greatest influence on the strength characteristics value of this series.

The influence of the genesis of quartz-containing rocks on the strength of particles and changes in morphology during destruction from the standpoint of the mineralogical approach in the development of the scientific direction "geonics" ("geomimetics") has been investigated. The kinetics of dry grinding of raw materials in a laboratory ball roller mill was carried out. The features of the formation and development of cracks, particle size distribution, changes in the morphology and microstructure of fragments have been studied. It was found that in natural quartz cracks develop along the surface, where the highest concentration of impurities creates a defect structure with destruction into small particles. The purest structure of hydrothermal quartz is susceptible to brittle fracture into fragments similar in morphology to the base particle. Reducing the defectiveness of the structure increases the strength of the crystals. The internal energy potential of techno genic raw materials is determined by its defective structure, which undergoes the greatest deformations during grinding, allowing obtaining the maximum values of the specific surface area and reduce the grinding time. A difference in the degree of crystallinity of quartz, which composes the polymineral techno genic raw materials, makes it possible to obtain the optimal granulometry of fine particles. The conducted research is aimed at identifying the mechanisms of destruction of quartz rocks and can be used in solving engineering problems not only in construction materials science, but also in geotechnics.

Currently, the device of cement concrete pavements is still less popular than the asphalt covering. In the construction of roads, great attention should be paid to the widespread use of new, efficient building materials and products of improved quality, with a high degree of prefabrication, ensuring an increase in the level of industrialism, a reduction in material consumption and the cost of road construction. The experience of research, design and devices allows a systematic approach to the design appointment, the choice of materials and technologies for the device of cement concrete roads. The device of cement concrete web of fiber-reinforced concrete is one of the promising areas in the construction complex.
