The idea of a smart village encompasses various aspects of rural life in the modern digital era, with a key focus on information technology infrastructure. The aim of this study is to explore the hopes and requirements of rural residents and assess the level of preparedness of village authorities to leverage technological advancements towards creating smart villages. The research method used is the qualitative research method. The research was conducted in Melikan Village, Klaten Regency, Central Java. The research used several main data sources: village officials and the Melikan Village community. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and FGD. The results show that information and communication technology is vital for the Melikan Village community, but the village government is not yet sufficiently prepared to fulfil the community's expectations. The village government is encouraged to collaborate and be creative with parties that can develop digital services. Community empowerment can technically be done by using application software or websites to open up opportunities for information channelling and support overall rural development. However, the successful implementation of smart villages is highly dependent on the motivation of village leaders, active community participation, and potential village resources. The implication of this research is that the Melikan Village government needs to immediately overcome the obstacles that hinder the adoption of innovations in government services towards smart villages.

Foreign medical personnel are needed to overcome the challenges of a shortage of medical personnel. However, the current issue lies in the ineffective regulations governing foreign medical personnel in Indonesia, which hinder the country's ability to enhance its health services. This research aims to conduct a comparative study with Singapore, which has superior health services, to examine the use of foreign medical personnel in improving the quality of health services in Indonesia. This research uses normative juridical research, employing a conceptual, statutory, and comparative approach. The research results show that, first, the utilization of foreign medical personnel in Indonesia has not been able to improve the quality of health services in Indonesia due to weaknesses in legal structure in the supervision and licensing process, the substance of regulations that do not yet provide legal protection and the condition of the Indonesian people who are not yet able to use such personnel foreign medical. Second, the Singapore government's mechanism for utilizing foreign medical personnel is easy and successful. Singapore strategically utilization foreign medical personnel to meet its healthcare needs. In addition, foreign medical personnel have several rights, including a basic salary and monthly allowances, health insurance, and income tax, which are not deducted from their pay. Therefore, Indonesia needs to adopt a policy system that is not limited to lex generalis but also becomes a guide that provides certainty in law enforcement and is not just a reference or boundary line for derivative regulations.

Digitalization technology has emerged as a critical tool for promoting and sustaining rural entrepreneurship by providing greater access to information and new business opportunities. It can enhance the competitiveness of rural entrepreneurs by enabling them to leverage e-commerce platforms, social media, and other digital tools to access the global market. However, the uneven distribution of digital infrastructure and the lack of digital literacy in rural areas can create significant barriers to digital adoption and pose challenges to promoting sustainable rural entrepreneurship. Hence, this paper aims to structurally review related studies from 2 databases (Scopus and EconBiz) by utilizing Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA). A total of 30 papers were eligible for evaluation. The findings were discussed based on three themes: the role, challenges and opportunities, and impact of digitalization technology on rural entrepreneurship. The adoption of digitalization technology among rural entrepreneurs has the potential to drive economic growth, create employment opportunities, and foster sustainable development in rural areas.
