The steam pressure drop through the Condenser shall not exceed 1 in. Hg. The air friction drop shall not exceed 1.20 in. W.G.at 115,740 cfm of standard air flow. The Condenser and Air Pre-cooler shall be of all-aluminum construction which shall meet the ASME Code requirements. The tube connections into the headers, the inlet and outlet connections, and all headers and framing members shall be of all-welded or approved rolled construction The Condenser shall be arranged in a bank with tubes vertical; cooling air flow will be horizontal. Inlet, outlet, and air connections may be located and spaced to suit the manufacturer's design except that there shall be no connections directly above or below condensers. All external connections l^in. and larger shall be 125-lb standard flanged. The air leaving the Pre-cooler will be piped to an air ejector which will have the capacity to pull a vacuum of 25 in. Hg (5 in. Hg absolute). All condensate from the Condenser and Pre-cooler will be drained to a hot well (supplied by others). The Condenser shall be designed to allow for expansion and contraction between tubes and tube supporting members. The Condenser shall be built up of sections to suit the Manufacturer's requirements and/or previously stated shipping limitations. B. Air-Cooled After-Condenser In order to minimize the escape of water vapor from the system, an air-vapor mixture to air aftercooler shall be furnished to condense moisture out of the air leaving the air-ejector after-condenser (by others). The After-Condenser shall have the capacity to cool 72 Ib/hr of saturated air at 150°F to 72°F when using cooling air at 40°F. The maximum pressure drop on the saturated air side shall not exceed 2 in. Hg. The material, fabrications and construction shall be as specified for the Condenser and Pre-cooler. The effluent air at 72°F will be piped to the atmosphere. The condensed vapor will be drained into a condensate system (supplied by others). Co Turbine Oil Cooler The Oil Cooler shall have the capacity to remove 55,000 Btu/hr from 17 gpm of turbine oil. The effluent oil temperature shall not exceed 120°F when using cooling air at 60°F. (Turbine oil is rated at 250 to 350 Saybolt viscosity seconds at 100°F5 and 47 to 60 Saybolt viscosity seconds at 210°F.) The maximum oil pressure drop shall not exceed 30 psig.
