Final report on the supplementary comparison EURAMET.EM-S26: inductance measurements of 100 mH at 1 kHz (EURAMET project 816)

Abstract: Within the framework of EURAMET, a comparison has been organized of measurements of self-inductance at 100 mH and 1 kHz. The comparison is identified as EUROMET.EM-S26. Two 100 mH inductance standards, encased in a thermostatic controlled enclosure, were circulated among the participants. The results from 10 out of 16 participants are in agreement with the reference values. A majority of the results agrees within ±50 µH/H. The participants reported four different methods to realize the traceability of the unit… Show more

“…Some works [14][15][16][17][18][19] are devoted to the study of the features of IC. In particular, [14] considers approaches to improving the methods for measuring and estimating the uncertainty of the laboratories participating in IC for active power measurement, and [15] evaluates the IC data of laboratories with further calculation of the uncertainty of measurement results.…”

“…The calibration of 100 mH and 1 H inductance standards were performed at the frequency of 1 kHz with both the DJIB and the synchronous sampling system [ 55 ], routinely used at METAS for the realization of the inductance scale [ 6 ]. Both the series resistance and the deviation of the series inductance from the nominal value are shown in Fig.…”
