Field Effect on the Excitonic Luminescence in CsI

Abstract: The electric field ionization of the self-trapped exciton is studied and the results are interpreted in terms of the Schottky effect theory. Though the possibility of internal radiationless transitions is not excluded, the idea of thermal ionization of the self-trapped exciton finds experimental support.

“…Within these studies, in particular, a new mechanism of electromagnetic radiation that can be emitted by a neutrino with nonzero magnetic moment propagating in dense matter was proposed and termed the spin light of neutrino in matter (SLν) [1]. The quantum theory of the SLν was first revealed in our studies [5,6] ( see also [7]) within implication of the so called "method of wave equations exact solutions" that implies use of exact solutions of modified Dirac equations that contain the corresponding effective potentials accounting for the matter influence on neutrinos [5,6,[8][9][10][11][12][13].…”

“…In [20] the radiative decay is considered between vacuum neutrino mass states that are not stationary in the electron media. In our studies we are working within the formalism that we have used for the quantum theory of the spin light of neutrino [22][23][24] where transitions occur between the neutrino stationary states in matter.…”
