Fibrinogen-like protein 2 prothrombinase is localized in platelets

Abstract: Background: Fibrinogen-like protein 2 (FGL2) is a serine protease capable of converting prothrombin into thrombin (i.e., prothrombinase activity) while bypassing the classic coagulation cascade.
