Fiber-optic interferometry strain sensor with optical ruler assisted Stepper Motor

Abstract: A fiber-optic strain sensor based on the two-staged optical low coherence Mach-Zehnder interferometry was proposed using 1.3-μm wavelength optical ruler assisted stepper motor. A 2.78-n high resolution strain sensing was demonstrated.
