Fertilizer Materials Analysis, Determination of Calcium in Phosphate Materials by Titration with EDTA in the Presence of Calcein Indicator

Abstract: a preneutralizer tank and an ammonia scrubber. Recycle requirement for grades such as 18-46-0 and 21-53-0 is relatively low, about 2.5 pounds per pound of product, because the process takes advantage of the change in solubility of ammonium phosphate with the NH3:H3PC)4 mole ratio to assist in control of granulation. The preneutralizer is operated near the NH3: -H3P04 mole ratio giving maximum solubility of ammonium phosphate to obtain the most concentrated slurry

“…The physical and chemical properties of the soil were determined as following. Soil texture by hydrometer method, Soil Reaction (pH) by glass electrode method (1:2.5 soil water suspension) (CON 720), soluble salts by Electrical Conductivity (conductivity bridge method) (Inolab pH 720), Organic Content by rapid titration method (Black et al, 1965), available phosphorus by Olsen's method (Olsen et al, 1954) Ca and Mg by titration with EDTA (Graham et al, 1962), Potassium and sodium by flame photometer (PFP 7) (Jackson, 1973). Some of soil physical and chemical properties were recorded in (Table 1).…”

“…The salt contents of mozzarella cheese were determined using Volhard method according to Richardson (1985). Calcium was determined using calcin as indicator by the method described by Graham et al (1962) and as modified by Abdel-Kader (1993). Total volatile fatty acids (TVFA) was determined as described by Kosikowski (1978), and expressed as mL of 0.…”

“…Phosphorus was determined in the citrate-soluble solutions by the Dahlgren (5) modification of the quinoline molybdate method. The EDTA titration method of Graham et al (6), modified to include an ultraviolet detection of the calcine end point, was used for the estimation of calcium. All determinations were made on the 100to 150-mesh fractions of the rock.…”
