“…Despite the fact that acute abdominal pain is not a common symptom many women suffering from genital tuberculosis give a history of having had appendicectomy performed for chronic discomfort in the right iliac fossa (Snaith, 1958;Aburel et al, 1961). Laparotomy for "appendicitis" had been carried out on 28 women (20 per cent) in this series and in all cases the appendix was found to be normal.…”
