Fertility and Sex-Sequence of Children of Indian Couples

Abstract: The original aim of this investigation was to examine the data on fertility history of Indian couples collected in the 17th Round (September 1961-July 1962) of the National Sample Survey (NSS) for studying the influence of the sex of the first two children born to a couple on the incidence of a third childbirth within three years of the second child-birth.
