Abstract:The "spring-defect model" developed by us earlier to discuss ferroelusticity, exhibited in the orthorhombic phase of YBazCn307--8 (Y-Ba-Cu-0), is used to analyze anelustic relaxation around the paraelastic to ferroelastic phase transition under the influence of an external inhomogeneous stress. The kinetics of the underlying Hamiltonian representing struin-struin interactions is treated within mean-field theory. The relation-response relation of linear response theory is employed to derive explicit expressions… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
