Fermion tunneling from squashed black holes in the Gödel universe and charged Kaluza—Klein space—time

Abstract: This paper is devoted to the investigation the fermion tunneling radiation of squashed black holes in the Gödel universe and charged Kaluza-Klein space-time. For black holes with different dimensions, establishing a set of appropriate matrices γ µ for the general covariant Dirac equation plays an important role in the semi-classical tunneling method. By constructing two sets of γ µ matrices, we have successfully derived the tunneling probability and Hawking temperature of the black holes.

“…In the present work, we extend the derivation of Hawking radiation with a generalized uncertainty principle correction on the basis of the tunneling mechanism in four-dimensional black hole spacetimes to the case of the five-dimensional squashed Kaluza-Klein black hole. Then, in contrast to the previous studies [100][101][102][103][104][105][106][107][108][109][110][111], we obtain both the desired result of the Hawking temperature and the quantum effects related to the energy of the emitted particle and the generalized uncertainty principle in the squashed Kaluza-Klein geometry. This paper is organized as follows.…”

“…Rotating Gödel metric has hidden conformal symmetry [15]. Further, there are many papers on physical aspects of this metric [16][17][18]. There is a class of D-dimensional metrics which were introduced and christened as Gödel type metrics, and used for producing new solutions to various gravitational theories in diverse dimensions [19,20].…”

“…In recent years, there are also a lot of attention being paid to various aspects of squashed Kaluza-Klein black holes. For example, thermodynamical properties [12,13,14,15,16,17], Hawking radiation [6,18,19,20,21,22,23], perturbation stability [24,25,26], quasinormal modes [27,28], gravitational lens [29,30,31], geodesic motion [32] and Kerr/CFT correspondence [17] have been investigated for this kind of black holes in recent years. In particular, Cai et al, [12] first adopted the boundary counter-term method [33,34] to investigate thermodynamics of the static charged, squashed Kaluza-Klein black holes found in Ref.…”
