Abstract:AbstractsA review is given of the current status of our work on electron transport properties and Fermi surfaces in simple metals. A simple classical model is proposed to extend existing theory to account for the effects of electron-impurity interactions on the behavior of magnetoacoustic absorption and the size and shape of the Fermi surface in the alkali metal potassium. The theoretical prediction is compared with measurements of the magnetoacoustic absorption and Fermi surface diameters in potassium crystal… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
