“…To date, the development of nanomaterials has improved the diagnosis and treatment of cancers. FePt nanocomposites showed the potential applications in dual modal MRI/CT imaging 5, 6, drug delivery 7, thermal therapy 8, 9 and chemotherapy agents 32 owing to their optimal magnetic, optical properties and controllable morphology. Chen et al 33 synthesized FePt/GO nanocomposites with good activity of intrinsic peroxidase.…”

“…As reviewed in previous sections, most high Z metallic elements were applied for radiosensitization including X-ray contrast and computed tomography (CT) 198 . Magnetic metals, such as Gd and Fe, were utilized for MRI contrast 202 , 205 , and concurrent chemotherapy was achieved in the presence of Pt and its complexes 197 , 203 .…”

“…FePt MNPs were prepared by chemical co-reduction method as previously described [7,13,36]. Briefly, OA (1.5 ml), OL (1.5 ml) and Fe(acac) 3 (0.386 mmol) were dissolved in anhydrous ethanol (100 ml) and stirred for 30 min.…”

“…Finally, quantitative measurements (absorbance) were obtained at the wavelength of 570 nm using a multifunctional enzyme marking instrument (PE Enspire). The cell viability is calculated using the follow equation [7]:cell viability=true0AAnormalcA0Ac0,where A was the absorbance of experimental group, A c represents the absorbance of non-seeded group, A 0 represents the absorbance of control group, A c0 was the absorbance of RPMI-1640 medium. The results were analysed by GraphPad Prism software (Beckman Coulter, Inc.) and expressed as means ± standard deviation (s.d.…”
