Female caudal reproductive tract abnormalities

Abstract: Introduction The report by McCarthy and coworkers (McCarthy et al. 2021) in this issue describes a case of vaginal septum with pyometra in a 10‐week‐old Westphalian filly foal. This is an interesting case report which evokes thought about the developmental abnormalities of the caudal female reproductive and urogenital tracts and their pathophysiology.
