Mass-charge spectra and energy distributions of anomalous accelerated ions were obtained in the double-pulse setup. In the setup the plasma cloud of the 30 kV vacuum flashover interacted with the plasma flare of the 300 kV vacuum spark discharge. The plasma cloud ions appeared in the ion flow. The energies of these ions are much more than 30 keV that could be attained in the flashover discharge alone. The energy peaks in these distributions can be associated with the voltage values at the moments of the current instabilities.
I.INTRODUCTION In the early experiments [1] there was found the evidence of the collective acceleration mechanism of the ions in the spark stage of the vacuum discharge. The ions of the cathode flare and of the anode spot plasma cloud were accelerated under the influence of the electron beam emitted from the cathode as a result of explosive emission. Energies of the anode material ions were less than 50 keV per charge unit. Since the significant evaporation of the anode material began at the end of the pulse, when the voltage applied to the gap was low. In the course of this study the plasma cloud near the anode was created preliminary by the 100 ns flashover discharge. And the energy distributions of accelerated ions were obtained to confirm that the potential well acceleration mechanism (and the model presented in [2]) operates in the case of the plasma cloud of any origin.
