Cultural landscape mapping layers historical, spatial, and narrative as an inventory of heritage – maintaining resilient data – knowledge. The traditional house is one of the elements of the historical cultural landscape exploring people’s engagement with the places that they inhabit. Places are literally “mapped” in order to mark essential composed cultural representations of the area. The widespread heritage of traditional houses called Rumoh Aceh is increasingly disappearing along with the development of modern housing demanded by the community. Therefore, this study aims to assemble a repository of the existence of traditional houses in Aceh Besar and classify the use of different building materials, and changes made to the original building materials among them. A range of datasets are collected including the coordinates of the location of Rumoh Aceh and the images of its current condition. The first finding is a map of Rumoh Aceh established in unexplored villages that illustrates the density of traditional Rumoh Aceh spreading among the villages located in Aceh Besar Regency. Secondly, most of the thatched roof – the original roof materials of Rumoh Aceh – is replaced by zinc and repainted with non-wood colours like blue, yellow, and green. In addition, all the results are available online. Thus, it enables people to access the historical Rumoh Aceh landscape embedded in digital data that is resilient and sustainable. The availability of online data is not only for cultural conservation but also for disaster mitigation and post-disaster reconstruction.

New technologies have changed the way products are offered today: Nowadays the internet and social networks play a preponderant role in spreading, in a more efficient and dynamic sense, any kind of product. In this context, e-commerce is a modality for the sale of products and services, that admits the addition of these new technologies through the internet, which transforms it into a tool that allows the discovery of new uses, forms, and consumption habits. E-commerce allows to provide customers products and services with the highest quality, for this it is necessary to implement QR codes that can create a differentiating user experience where the products are displayed in the best possible way and accompany them with content that is valuable to consumers. In this way, it is intended to promote the efficient and rationalized use of all the resources that companies have and, at the same time, motivate the use of new technologies, as a strategic enabler and competitive differentiator, to overcome all their business objectives.

This chapter presents an augmented reality project applied to the study of cardiology, which is crystallized through a system known as service-oriented architecture (SOA). This system serves as an innovative and efficient learning platform for students interested in cardiology because it helps them to understand abstract concepts in cardiology, which require visual and manipulable objects that are difficult to obtain, due to the large space they occupy in magnetic media or because of the difficulty of obtaining their models in physical form. This system strengthened the process of anatomical identification of the human heart and allowed a better interaction with the student, i.e., the system enhanced the use of sight, hearing, and kinesthetic, which, together, allowed a better assimilation of knowledge. The effectiveness of this system was validated using a survey of 389 students from four public universities where the following aspects were verified: 1) Significant learning; 2) Motivation; 3) Ease of use, and; 4) Performance.
