Feasibility of Growth Factor Agent Therapy in Repairing Motor Injury

Abstract: Growth factors (GF), with the activity of stimulating cell growth, play a significant role in biology, medicine, and exercise physiology. In the process of exercise, human tissues are impacted, making cells suffer damage. Growth factor can accelerate the repair of damaged cells and regulate the synthesis of protein, so biological preparations of growth factors can be added to traditional therapies. A combination of growth factor biologics and conventional therapies may improve the efficiency of injury repair, … Show more

“…Present treatments have restricted efficacy, and the best strategy for targeting these lesions is unknown. Various strategies, including growth factor injections, muscle stem cell transplantation with or without biological scaffolds, antifibrotic therapy, and mechanical stimulation, have been proposed as therapeutic alternatives to improve functional muscle recovery. Although researchers have studied these methods of improving muscle healing extensively, there is still no gold standard of treatment.…”

“…Growth factors play a key role in biophysical processes [ 26 , 27 ] including cell growth, cell division, migration, apoptosis, survival, wound healing, and metabolism. MLGF, a newly discovered secreted protein from abalone, is a member of the ADGF subfamily.…”

“…the generation of molecules with specific characteristics could be considered as a translation. These methods may also be useful in bio drug design, such as stem cells ( Tan et al, 2022b ), growth factors ( Tan et al, 2022c ; Tan et al, 2022d ), et al…”
