“…In the present study, TAPSE acquired on CMR images showed comparable normal ranges with previous studies in echocardiography [25,26], thus the described method for CMR seems valid. The reason for a higher level of correlation between TAPSE and RV EF in the present study may be a larger study population with a wider range of RV parameters than previously investigated.…”

“…); reproducibility was excellent for LV mass ( r =0.98; P <0.001; CV=6.1%), LVEF ( r =0.83; P =0.003; CV=3.0%), cardiac output ( r =0.91; P <0.001; CV=7.9%); LA volume ( r =0.92; P <0.001; CV=10.3%), pulmonary artery systolic pressure ( r =0.92; P <0.001; CV=7.3%), RV end‐diastolic area ( r =0.96; P <0.001; CV=4.8%), RA area ( r =0.92; P <0.001; CV=7.2%), PVR ( r =0.92; P <0.001; CV=5.4%), and TAPSE ( r =0.83; P <0.005; CV=6.0%). These results are within the desirable reproducibility for ECG outcome variables used in clinical trials or observational studies 32, 38, 39…”

“…Patients who had RV dysfunction were significantly older compared to those who had normal RV function. This finding is concordant with the study by Gloria Tamborini et al [6] which concluded TAPSE was negatively related with age, and also with the study of Zornoff et al [3] No significant difference noted with regards to gender distribution, frequency of hypertension, diabetes, smoking or other forms of tobacco usage in patients with or without RV dysfunction. These observations were similar to those of Zornoff et al [3] in their study of 416 patients with acute MI.…”
