Abstract: The hydrogen hydrostatic thrust bearing (HHTB) is a key component of hydrogen liquefaction that impacts turbo-expander characteristics. To analyze the feasibility of using the HHTB in this application, characteristics of HHTBs were calculated using a CFD model.
