Fault Diagnosis of Three Phase Induction Motor Using Current Signal, MSAF-Ratio15 and Selected Classifiers

Abstract: A degradation of metallurgical equipment is normal process depended on time. Some factors such as: operation process, friction, high temperature can accelerate the degradation process of metallurgical equipment. In this paper the authors analyzed three phase induction motors. These motors are common used in the metallurgy industry, for example in conveyor belt. The diagnostics of such motors is essential. An early detection of faults prevents financial loss and downtimes. The authors proposed a technique of fa… Show more

“…Precision of thermal measurement for thermovision diagnostics is impacted by following factors:  incorrect determination of emissivity -radiation coefficient of measured object ε (λ, T),  low current load of measured electric equipment, because current load has a relevant role for assessment of measuring warming,  influence of other hot objects close to measured objects and inaccurate determination of surrounding temperature can cause both changes of emission coefficient,  incorrectly interpretation of measured values of warming,  various surfaces (the surface may be chromatic, oxidized surfaces and peeled paint on materials) may cause wrong evaluation of results. For diagnostics of infrared radiation by thermovision the inside transfer and distribution of electric power, it is need to take into account many relevant factors affecting the measurement accuracy [2].…”

“…Also, for every motor there is a unique mechanical rigidity between the electromagnetic forces produced by broken bars and the place where the vibration is being sensed. Findings obtained by Glowacz, et al (2017) emphasized that MCSA has that potential to sense the defects a phase-to-earth faults in advance. Aathikessavan, (2019) dealt with detecting failures in induction motors, in particularly with BRB detection.…”
