Abstract:Few works investigate the fatigue of short fiber reinforced thermoplastics under cyclic compression. Furthermore, the heat buildup approach to quickly predict the fatigue lifetime of these materials has not yet been investigated for compression-compression loadings. This paper first describes an experimental protocol to perform well-controlled cyclic compression tests without antibuckling device that may induced bias. The uniaxiality of the global loading is checked during the test based on kinematic and therm… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
