Kelly and Rungruanganunt 49 reported that OEM abutments (Straumann) outperformed aftermarket abutments (Atlantis) under cyclic loading, and they concluded that the differences in abutment design and fabrication between aftermarket and OEM manufacturers can significantly influence the clinical performance of the abutments.
