Fate and Management of Pollution of Hexavalent Chromium Cr(VI) and Heavy Metals in the Zarqa River Basin in Jordan

Abstract: This paper focused on the fate of pollution and management of hexavalent chromium Cr(VI) and heavy metals in the Zarqa River Basin in Jordan. The Zarqa River basin was selected in this research because it contains the majority of Jordanian industries, which are the main source of pollutants including Cr(VI) and heavy metals. This will help in assisting water resource management organizations in decision making when coping with pollution. Industries related to sources and impacts of Cr(VI) and heavy metals were… Show more

“…Numerous metal oxide nanostructures have been thoroughly investigated as potential antibacterial systems, including silver oxide, nickel(II) oxide, magnesium oxide (MgO), copper oxide, iron(II,III) oxide (Fe 2 O 3 , Fe 3 O 4 ), titanium(IV) oxide, zinc oxide (ZnO), tin oxide, and manganese(II,III) oxide nanomaterials (Mn 3 O 4 ). [7][8][9][10][11] ZnO nanostructures have been shown to have antibacterial activity towards a variety of dangerous species that are resistant to high temperatures and high pressures. 12 When compared to ZnO microstructures, ZnO nanostructures have better antibacterial activity due to their larger surface area.…”
