“…In general, the Introduction Spontaneous splenic rupture is a rare condition. Splenic abscesses (Joazlina et al 2006), splenic angiosarcoma (Levy et al 1986), leukemic spleen (Freeman et al 1993), amyloidosis (Kozicky et al 1987), large or multiple hemangiomas (Rolfes and Ros 1990), peliosis, malarial spleen (Yagmur et al 2000), mononucleosis, acute splenic sequestration crisis (Bowcock et al 1988;Roshkow and Sanders 1990), and mainly acute pancreatitis (Warshaw et al 1972;Hastings et al 1978;Fishman et al 1995) have been reported as etiologic causes of spontaneous splenic rupture.
