Fast, sensitive and selective simultaneous determination of paraquat and glyphosate herbicides in water samples using a compact electrochemical sensor

Abstract: We report a new ready-to-use sensor for simultaneous determination of paraquat (PQ) and glyphosate (GLY) based on a graphite screen-printed electrode modified with a dual-molecularly imprinted polymer coated on a mesoporous silica-platinum core.

“…This observation is in line with previous reports. 22,31,39 Optimization of Polymerization Conditions. As illustrated in Scheme 1, we encapsulated the GQDs-AuNPs core in SiO 2 via binding MPTMS via its thiol groups to the gold during the one-step shell-growth method.…”

“…Under the optimal conditions, Pb 2+ incubation concentrations were progressively increased from 0 to 9 μM. Under the DPV detection, 34 we observed an oxidation peak of MB at −0.22 V, while a strong oxidation peak of Fc was observed near 0.2 V. Of course, the oxidation peaks of lead and oxygen can also be detected under DPV detection. Still, they were far from the target signal peak.…”

“…A dual-MIP was fabricated by 3D-printing on the surface of mesoporous SiPtNPs, using acrylic acid and N -vinyl-2-pyrrolidone as functional monomers, and N , N ′-(1,2-dihydroxyethylene) bis(acrylamide) (DHEBA) as the cross-linking monomer. The sensors allowed for simultaneous determination of both herbicides, paraquat, and GLP, in water samples in the LDCR of 0.025–500 μM and with the LOD of 3.1 nM and 4 nM, respectively …”

“…102 Furthermore, in a recent study, a gold chip/electrode coated with a self-assembled monolayer of GLP, in water samples in the LDCR of 0.025−500 μM and with the LOD of 3.1 nM and 4 nM, respectively. 144 A typical base-catalyzed sol−gel transition incorporation was performed to incorporate GLP and graphene QD labels into mesoporous organosilica MIPs. The GLP-induced quenchingmediated detection enabled GLP quantification at a subnanomolar level (0.017 ppb, 17 pg/mL).…”
