Abstract:We propose two schemes to achieve fast realizations of spatially correlated percolation models. The schemes are shown to be efficient in complementary regimes of correlation phase space. They are combined with a generalized Newman-Ziff algorithm to numerically determine the percolation thresholds of two-dimensional lattices in the presence of correlations. It is found that the spatial correlations affect only a relatively small part of phase space.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
