Fast high yield of pure Leishmania (Leishmania) infantum axenic amastigotes and their infectivity to mouse macrophages

Abstract: Leishmania (L.) infantum (syn. Leishmania chagasi) is a dimorphic protozoan parasite that lives in promastigote and amastigote form in its sandfly vector and mammalian hosts, respectively.
