Fast Determination of Diesel Fuel Oxidation Stability by 1H NMR Spectroscopy

Abstract: 1H NMR spectroscopy and multiple linear regression analysis were used to determine diesel fuel oxidation stability. Oxidation stability is one of the most important properties which affect diesel fuel characteristics and quality. It has been demonstrated that integrated peak intensities of certain functional groups in 1 H NMR spectra correlated well with the oxidation stability.
