Farming‐Inspired Continuous Fabrication of Grating Flexible Transparent Film with Anisotropic Conductivity

Abstract: Flexible transparent conductive films (FTCFs) are critically important for the emerging flexible electronic devices. To this end, FTCFs with conductive gratings have drawn more interests in the past decades. However, there are great challenges to fabricate such FTCFs containing conductive gratings in a facile way. Borrowing the idea from traditional farming, a homemade roll‐to‐roll plowing technique combined with blade coating is proposed to fabricate silver grating FTCFs with anisotropic conductivity in a con… Show more

“…Flexible transparent conductive films (TCFs) have wide application prospects in solarcells, wide-band antenna, electrochromic devices, electroluminescent devices, wearable sensors, flexible heaters, light emitting diodes, etc. Due to their excellent optical-electrical performances, mechanical flexibility, simple and diverse preparation methods, and the ability to be deposited on different substrates, silver nanowires (Ag NWs) have become a common research material for the preparation of TCFs and are an important part of the next generation of flexible optoelectronic devices.…”

“…[1][2][3][4][5] These materials are widely applied in high-tech industries, including electronic packing, oil/water separation, novel electrode materials, membrane filtration, and biosensors due to their anisotropic conductivity. [6][7][8][9] To date, several ACFs have been reported, including one ACF type, which conducts electricity along the thickness direction and insulates along the surface, named as type-I ACF, and another ACF type, which has two different conductivity values along two vertical directions on the film surface, named as type-II ACF. However, matching type-II ACF to electronic devices in the market remains a huge challenge, mainly because research on it to date only exists at the laboratory stage.…”
