Tibolone is a drug used as a hormonal repository and is very important due to its characteristic of helping to reduce the symptoms triggered by the hormonal alteration during the climacteric period. Although widely used, the Brazilian Pharmacopoeia does not have any information about this hormone. In the literature, only studies with methodologies using high performance liquid chromatography for drug quantification were found. Thus, this study aimed to develop and validate analytical method using UV spectrophotometry for quality control of Tibolone in capsule pharmaceutical form. The present study followed the validation parameters present in RDC 166/2017 and ICH Q2 (R1), with acetonitrile as solvent and 225 nm as wavelength. Linearity showed a correlation coefficient higher than 0.99, precision presented a mean of 97.81% and accuracy reached a recovery percentage average of 97.18%. It was concluded that the method can be used in the quality control of Tibolone capsules, besides having a low cost and a less complex methodology and easier to perform compared to HPLC.

Resumo. Introdução: A automedicação tem sido objeto de muitas pesquisas e assume uma importância maior quando é realizada por profissionais de saúde, principalmente pelo acesso aos medicamentos. Objetivo: Considerando a automedicação como um problema de saúde pública e a importância de conhecer a ocorrência desta prática por aqueles profissionais, este estudo objetivou avaliar a prevalência da automedicação e os fatores associados em profissionais de saúde de um hospital privado em São Luís, Maranhão. Metodologia: Caracteriza-se por um estudo transversal, com coleta de dados por meio de questionário autoaplicável, com perguntas abertas e fechadas, no período de fevereiro a abril de 2015. Resultados: Dos 120 profissionais entrevistados, 73,3% (n=88) faziam uso da automedicação, sendo 80% (n=96) mulheres; 45% (n=54) tem ensino médio completo, 36,7% (n=44) possuem renda de até 3 salários, 33,3% (n=40) técnicos de enfermagem e 47,5% (n=57) trabalhavam em dois turnos. Os principais problemas de saúde apontados para o autocuidado foram a cefaléia 42% (n=37), infecções ou inflamações 36,4% (n=32) e gripe ou resfriado 35,2% (n=31). Conclusão: Esta pesquisa aponta para um elevado consumo de medicamentos entre profissionais de saúde, principalmente no ambiente hospitalar. Ressalta-se aqui a figura do farmacêutico, a fim de elucidar dúvidas quanto ao tratamento, visando o uso racional e correto de medicamentos.

This paper presents a strategic analysis of the importance of the relationship between organizational culture and the implementation of quality management programs, such as Total Quality Management (TQM) and Six Sigma. Therefore, an exploratory-descriptive and correlational study was carried out in a sample composed by forty compounding pharmacies in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. The data collection identified characteristics of the companies and the level of use of quality practices, which were in turn identified in the literature. In order to evaluate the organizational culture, it was used the Competitive Values Model, considered an instrument of high academic and professional value. The results reveal the different effects of the types of culture in the adoption of quality practices and suggest that Clan and Innovative Cultures are the ones that best represent the cultural profile of pharmacies and are also more positively associated to the quality practices that the Market Cultures and Hierarchical. Understanding the advantages of each type of culture should help managers to effectively achieve the implementation of a quality management program from a holistic view of quality and culture management.
