Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib.) de Bary, as soil borne and post-harvest fungal disease agent, causes white mold disease on more than 400 plant species including important vegetable plants and fruit grown worldwide (Boland & Hall, 1994;Bolton et al., 2006;de Aguiar et al., 2014). Disease agent causes significant yield loses on various economically important crops including tomato, which is one the most extensively produced and consumed vegetables in all over the world (Lu, 2003). Typical disease symptoms on tomato plants growing in field conditions occur on stems, crowns, and leaves as watersoaked lesions that expand and become necrotic lesions with white cottony fungal mycelium. Pathogen produce irregular, black overwintering structures called sclerotia inside the stems, crowns and soil around the infected plant roots (Bolton et al., 2006;Smolinska & Kowalska, 2018).Since the pathogen has broad host range infects and great capacity to survive under different environmental conditions, disease management of white rot is very difficult (Bolton et al., 2006;Ferreira et al., 2019). The major methods of controlling white mold disease are applying fungicides and crop rotation in some host plants. Variation of components in laurel (Laurus nobilis L.) fixed oil extracted by different methods

In the study, it was aimed to determine the constituents of laurel fixed oil obtained from the different genotypes of laurel (Laurus nobilis L.), which is one of the natural plants of the region and which is widely found in the flora of Hatay, by traditional, cold press and soxhlet extraction methods. When the GC/MS analysis results of these obtained oils were examined, the main components of the fixed oils in the traditional method were found as capric acid (2.49%), lauric acid (1.17%), myristic acid (0.16%), palmitic acid (13.69%), stearic acid (2.39%). ), oleic acid(55.01%), linoleic acid (10.56%) and linolenic acid(0.11%). In cold press method, fixed oil components was capric acid (0.24%), lauric acid(9.24%), myristic acid(0.98%), palmitic acid (18.41%), stearic acid (2.84%), oleic acid (38.59%), linoleic acid (23.67%) and linolenic acid (2.19%), while it was determined as capric acid (0.46%), lauric acid (11.16%), myristic acid (1.54%), palmitic acid (18.39%), stearic acid (3.58%), oleic acid (36.92%), linoleic acid (23.02%) and linolenic acid (2.54%) in soxhlet extraction method. As a result, while the components of laurel fixed oil did not change according to the fixed oil extraction methods, the amounts of these components changed. Therefore, it was determined that the method of oil extraction in laurel was important.

Chemical Composition of the Essential Oils Of Salvia Spp. Leaves

The chemical composition of the hydrodistilled essential oils of four Salvia spp. were analysed by GCMS. Three of them (Salvia aramiensis Rech. fil., Salvia fruticosa Mill., Salvia tomentosa Mill.) analyzed in this study grow naturally in the Hatay flora. On the other hand, S. aramiensis is an endemic plant in Hatay flora. Fourth species (Salvia officinalis L.) is not growing in the flora of Turkey, but is only cultivated. The highest essential oil content (5.31%) was found in S. aramiensis and the least 1.68% was detected in S. officinalis. Eucalyptol was the main constituent for S. aramiensis, S. fruticosa and S. tomentosa. While this component was 58.65% in S. aramiensis, it was determined as 44.70 and 34.97% in S. tomentosa and S. fruticosa, respectively. In S. officinalis, the main constituent was determined as δ-Thujone (33.83%) and camphor (21.46%). Eucalyptol has been identified as the main composition in sage species which is grown in flora.
