Abstract:The anion-derived inorganic-rich solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) provides highly desirable protection for anodes; however, it is hardly formed in commercial electrolytes due to the electromigration of free anions away from anodes under the charging electric field. High-concentration electrolytes are capable of curing this issue, but they are economically impractical. Here, we pioneer an industrially compatible approach to shield the electric field by engineering a surface "Faraday cage" from a polymer matri… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
