Family therapy in the adult psychiatric setting

Abstract: The term ‘family therapy’ covers a range of approaches. At one extreme, it is a method which seeks to help an individual patient. At the other extreme, the focus is on the relationships between people; according to this view psychopathology reflects recurring, problematic interactive patterns among family members.
