Familial Hypercholesterolemia and the Atherosclerotic Disease

Abstract: Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is associated with premature atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases, and is inherited as an autosomal dominant trait. The prevalence of heterozygous FH is one in five hundred people.
