Abstract:Tacrolimus is one of the effective immunosuppressive drugs used after an organ transplant procedure. However, due to its narrow therapeutic range, its usefulness in preventing transplant rejection and minimizing nephrotoxicity is dependent on the monitoring of whole blood trough levels of tacrolimus.
